I was introduced to wargaming in 1967, when I received Avalon Hill's 'Afrika Korps' and 'Jutland' as Christmas presents. Ever since that time, I have played them and many others over the course of the years, including my time in the Marines.
In the early to mid 2000's I started work on B-29 Superfortress. My job at the time kept me on the road a lot, so Shawn Rife graciously stepped in take what I had started and finish the design while I handled graphics and play testing. The final product was well received, having been nominated as Games Magazine Best Historical Wargame in 2008. It lost out to GMT's Pacific War.
With that success, Shawn and I came up with an add-on for B-29, this one taking place of the skies of Korea (order here). Hell Over Korea was released in Janaury 2012.
Other designs are in the works.
I decided to start this site to house all my gaming needs. Next up at Legion Wargames will be Picket Duty (pre-order here -- so far 158 pledges, need 92 more!) and then a remake of B-17 Queen of the Skies, titled Bombs Away. Shawn and I will be working on that one. Work is also progressing on Nordwind, which will be an introductory wargame to introduce players new to the hobby some of the basic ideas they will run across in other games. More info can be found by clicking the links under each game in the left column.
Other projects in the early stages, Partisan - covering action in Russia during World War II and Faith vs. Reason, a game of ideologies and their impact over the course of history.
I hope you enjoy your visit and I hope you find the information useful!
